Wind Energy Forum Storytelling Kiosk™

|
Client: Museum of Science, Boston. Also installed at Cape Cod Museum of Natural History. My Role: Prototype Design and Interactive Design. Developed by InquiryLearn in collaboration with Brad Larson Media. Original Storytelling Kiosk™ concept © Brad Larson Media. Comments: This kiosk was customized to incorporate universal design principles for maximum accessibility for people with vision, hearing, and mobility impairments. |
Overview: Visitors record their opinions in video regarding wind power and their specific views on the proposed wind farm in Nantucket Sound. They listen to the multiple perspectives of stakeholders and other visitors' opinions before recording their own which is then added to the interactive Forum gallery. |
Above: The attract screen includes an animated, spinning turbine with words coming off each of the blades. Left: Visitors see themselves in a live video window inviting them to join the conversation. Right: Visitors can peruse the gallery and listen to the opinions of stakeholders and other visitors before adding their own.
Visitors can choose among five questions (which the Museum can change to keep the discussion fresh and current). Stakeholder and visitor responses demonstrate the diversity of opinions.
